INTRODUCTION

Our College has formed a Grievance Redressal committee in accordance with the recommendation of the University of Grants Commission, New Delhi. This committee was established to investigate student complaints and provide resolutions for the issues. It aids in guaranteeing openness in all student-related activities. This grievance committee also investigates delicate matters, such as issues pertaining to harassment. Anybody can personally address the committee members if they have a legitimate complaint. Additionally, if the complainant is unable to present in person, they may submit a letter of complaint and put it in the appropriate suggestion box, which is located across the college campus. Additionally, the grievance can be sent via email to the official overseeing the Grievance cum Redressal Committee.

OBJECTIVES OF THE POLICY

·  To carry out the Supreme Court's order, the 2013 Sexual Harassment of Women at Work Act, and Anna University's mandate for the establishment of an anti-sexual         harassment policy inside the college.

·  The aim is to develop a system that addresses and prevents instances of sexual harassment and other forms of gender-based violence within the College.

·  To guarantee that the policy is applied in its entirety by appropriately reporting grievances and handling their subsequent actions.

·  To create a setting devoid of prejudice based on gender.

·  To guarantee equitable access to all college facilities and involvement in its events

·  To establish a safe, social and physical environment that will discourage sexual harassment
